1. Overview

FillyDash ("we," "our") collects and uses the data described below to provide the Service (web app and browser extension). This policy states what we collect and how we use it.

2. Data We Collect

We collect and store the following:

  • Account data: email address, password (hashed), and email verification status when you sign up or sign in.
  • Profile data: name, role, years of experience, skills, summary, and preferred tone that you enter in your FillyDash profile. This is used to generate cover letters and to sync with the extension when linked.
  • Q&A data: questions and answers you save for autofilling job application forms. We store them so the extension can use them when you apply on supported job boards.
  • Cover letter data: cover letters you generate and optionally save to history, along with associated job descriptions. We use this to show your cover letter history in the web app and to improve the service.
  • Extension link data: when you link the browser extension to your account, we store token metadata (e.g. that your account is linked) so the extension can sync profile and Q&A. We do not store the token itself in plain text.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data above to:

  • Operate your account (sign up, sign in, password reset, email verification).
  • Store and sync your profile and saved Q&A between the web app and the extension when linked.
  • Generate cover letters (e.g. using the job description and your profile) in the extension.
  • Display your resume, job tracker entries, and cover letter history in the web app.
  • Allow the extension to autofill application forms using your saved Q&A and to "Track this application" or "Save to history" when you choose.

We do not sell your personal data. We may use aggregated or anonymized data for analytics or service improvement.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account, profile, Q&A, and cover letter data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account or revoke extension links; we will delete or anonymize data as required by our data retention practices.

5. Payment Information

If you purchase a subscription, your payment and billing information is collected and processed securely by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. FillyDash does not store or process full credit card numbers on its servers.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data (e.g. hashed passwords, secure tokens). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and to keep your credentials private.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, or to object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.

8. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the updated policy here and indicate the last updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
